I think the operative words are 'good' and 'decent'. IMHO, Jordan In
Flight was really boring after you get over the initial awe from the
graphics and sounds. The shooting percentages of the players
consistently averaged over 70% and 80%. How realistic is that? You
hardly ever get the chance to rebound. Furthermore, the shooting
percentage didn't seem to vary that much regardless of where you are
on the court. You had about the same likelihood of making a basket
regardless of whether it's a dunk, a layup, or a full court shot. The
biggest (only?) variable was fatigue. If your players were tired,
their abilities would degrade. You just had to keep substituting and
hope you can get a steal or a blocked shot because if the shot gets
off, it's probably going in.

Another decent basketball game was NCAA 2: Road to the Final Four, but
I don't think it's as fun as NBA Live '95.
